Self Catering Holiday Cottage near Aberaeron, WALES

PLASBACH, CILIAU AERON, CEREDIGION

Plasbach (pronounced plas-bahc), our Holiday Cottage in Wales, is a traditional, detached, stone and slate house in rural surroundings. It lies 5 miles from the pretty, georgian harbour town of Aberaeron. Sypathetically refurbished, it has 3 bedrooms sleeping 5 or 6 persons.

Plasbach lies on the upper slopes of the Aeron valley, 1 mile from the River Aeron, 2 miles from the National Trust property of Llanerchaeron House and just 5 miles from the Ceredigion coast. Pretty coves and beaches such as those at New Quay, Cwmtydu, Tresiath & Llangrannog are a short drive away.

The area is excellent for both walking and cycling (although you will have to go up at least one steep hill!). On a clear day, walk a mile up the lane and there you will have stunning views across Cardigan Bay to Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula. Most days Red Kites can be seen flying overhead.

The County and University town of Aberystwyth with its Arts Centre, National Library of Wales, Ceredigion Museum, Castle (Edward I), Narrow Guage railway to Devil's Bridge, national rail link, shops and a fairly lively evening/night scene lies some 18 miles north. The small towns of Lampeter and Tregaron lie 10 and 15 miles away respectively. The latter is home to the 'Red Kite Musem'.
